
Dr. Andary is a filmmaker, writer, and curator with a deep passion for community engagement, palliative, and hospice care. His award-winning documentary Unlocking Doors of Cinema (2020) has screened at over 30 international festivals. Recently, he completed Hayy Ibn Filastin, a film about visual artist Tarek Al Ghoussein’s final project, Odysseus AD. Dr. Andary is also widely published in literature and history, and co-edits the Focus on Arab Cinema book series for Palgrave. Committed to both the arts and compassionate care, he has served as Artistic Director of the Al Sidr Environmental Film Festival for four years and the Performing Books Season at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah. He is currently developing two feature film projects, No Barking and The Guilt Project.
