Dr. Hibah Osman
MD, MPH

Dr. Osman is a recognized leader in palliative care advocacy, specializing in program development for low- and middle-income countries. Prior to joining the faculty at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, she founded Balsam – The Lebanese Center for Palliative Care, an NGO providing home-based palliative care, and established the Palliative and Supportive Care Program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.

Dr. Osman is also a faculty affiliate in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School, where she contributes to the development of the Global Palliative Care Program. Her clinical and research interests center on the impact of culture and context on the healthcare experience, with a commitment to improving access to compassionate care for patients and families worldwide.
